Sin: It's Not That Serious.

I just saw a man completely pick up a woman, take her to the back of the club, turn her upside down and spazz ...and she pretty much let him.

"It's just dancing" until somebody gets an erection.

I'm not about to talk about them though. I'm about to talk about something else.

The sinful condition of the heart is nothing to brush off. The things we let slide and ignore as sin, in its minuteness, will eventually show its face as the beast that it is. We end up letting too much slide, but many times, it's out of ignorance. The people will surely perish for a lack of knowledge and for lack of desire to have knowledge. You get offended if a person says you shouldn't do certain things because you think that it's nothing. But you would be mad if you stood at heavens gates and realized that nobody told you to put away your sin. Listen to wisdom! Please!

A fool ignores the man that tells him not to drive a car that doesn't have breaks. A fool rather drives it at a high speed. But do you know that your sin leads to death?

Sin satisfies until you get to the place where you can't stop. Then, it becomes more bold in its destruction. It's boldest level is Hell.

"I can't help it. I just do it. It feels good." Okay, that's what it's supposed to do. You think Satan out here stupid?

If somebody tells you something is wrong, search the word for yourself on it. You don't even have to take their word for it. But don't SHUN. IT WILL KILL YOU.

"It's just a song"
"It's just dancing"
"It's just weed"
"It's just sex"

"It's just judgement day".

Ain't no pretending to be somebody I'm not. I'm just sayin .......it's time to get serious about what you say you believe. I'm not one to trail you down and throw you in Hell for what you do. But, I WILL tell you that loving sin separates you from God. PERIOD

too much love,

Shut Up, Sometimes!!! It's Biblical.

"God's people have to learn when to be QUIET & be led, only!"

If you read the book of Job and only got out of it an encouraging word about getting back everything the devil stole from you, you didn't really read the book of Job. You heard about it and you went straight to the part of the passage that supported that message.

No matter what perspective you've heard the story told from, we always talk about Job's friends because, let's be real: Job's friends were aggravating!!!! I almost stopped reading Job because of his fake wise, fake deep, condescending, friends. But, the truth is that Job's friends are a lot like the Christians/ Saints/ Believers/ Bible thumpers of today. (Checkpoint: Are YOU one of those people?) ... Anyway & HOWEVER, there is one person in this text who really sets the standard of a proper response to Job's situation. I suggest EVERYBODY look very closely at the account of Elihu. He starts talking in the 32nd chapter.

Elihu was the youngest out of Job and his friends. He sat and listed to the whole debate until they wore themselves out (Job 32:11). Job had just went hard for about two chapters and the text says that the three men ceased to answer because Job was righteous in his own eyes (Job 32:1). There was no use in debating with him anymore.

Now, Elihu was hesitant to speak his mind because he was the youngest, but he listened and he listened well for a LONG time. Regardless of his reasoning, Elihu understood the importance of being silent, knowing his time to speak would come; and when his time to speak came, he was READY.

He starts is words directed toward the three friends: "He [Job] hasn't directed his words against me: neither will I answer with your [the friends] speeches".

and then he speaks his mind. his beautiful, beautiful mind.

Elihu was angry at the friends because they couldn't truly prove that Job was wrong, yet they had condemned him (Job 32:3), but he was also angry at Job because he "justified himself, rather than God" (Job 32:2), and at this point, he says "my belly is as wine which hath no vent it is ready to burst like new bottles." <----- THE SELF CONTROL! The self control it took for Elihu to hold his peace until the proper time... man!

AND THEN
Elihu begins, in Job 33, to remind Job that he was not righteous in and of himself, but that God has RENDERED him righteous; and after his elders had just ACCUSED Job, still saying, "if you have anything to say, say it; Speak, for I desire to JUSTIFY thee."

Elihu had something that the others lacked: wisdom.
Most importantly, he had understanding that he knew came from the inspiration of God, alone and that even this wisdom was no excuse to speak lowly of Job. He also knew that although he was younger, that meant nothing.
He says "great men are no always wise. neither do the aged understand judgement. (Job 32:8-9)

Elihu was the SLOWEST to speak of the all, but he is the only one who speaks in wisdom. He tells Job [his ELDER], "If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom".

THIS IS WHAT THE BODY OF CHRIST NEEDS MORE OF
but some of those who are the loudest are lacking it.

CATCH THIS:

Elihu is CAREFUL with all of his words and is precise in carrying out his role as a fellow brethren. "Don't judge"?! This is righteous judgment because he was truly led of God and done in love! I. WILL. PROVE. IT. with one liners and scriptures only.
1. He waited to speak and when the time came, he administered grace.

Job 33:5-7 If you can answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up [for yourself]. Behold, I am according to thy wish in God's stead: I am also formed out of the clay. Though my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.
2. He waited to speak, and when the time came, he made his role clear as being secondary.

Job 36:3-4 I will fetch my knowledge from afar and will ascribe righteousness to my maker. For truly my words won't be false. He that is perfect in knowledge is with thee. [notice that he said "with thee" --adding to the fact that his words are purposed only to bring Job to a place of closeness with the Lord. Not to bring light to himself at all except to assure Job that God is surely working in him.]
3. He waited to speak, and when the time came, he told Job what precise issue he perceived was in his heart.

Job 33:3 My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

Job 34:31-32 Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more: That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more. (Basically saying, "you should rather ask what you did wrong than assume that you have no wrong. Ask to understand or see what you've been missing.)
Job 34:35-37 For [Job] adds rebellion unto his sin, he claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God

4. He waited to speak, and when the time came, he helped Job REFOCUS on who God is.
Job 33:29-30 All things work God often times with man to bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of living. [<---wisdom!]
Job 36:7-9 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne' yea, he dothe establish them forever an they are exalted. And if they be bound in fetters and beholden in cords of affliction; then he shows them their work and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
Job 37:13-14 He causes it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy. Hear this, Job: stand still and consider the wondrous works of God. Hear this, O Job: stand still and consider the wondrous works of God.

THEN GOD STARTS TALKING (uh, oh. O.o)
in Chapter 38
Elihu served as a forerunner, preparing Job's heart for what was to come: an interrogation from the Lord that challenges Job's understanding of the foundations of the Earth.
It was intense, you gotta read it.
But before God steps in, Elihu was used in a major way that the others could not have been used because they spoke partly out of their carnal minds. They sounded spiritual! but, they pulled from what they already knew, not from what God allowed them to see. After all, they were talking too much to listen. One spoke of a dream he had to support his condemning lecture. Job calls them lousy comforters. If you didn't know any better, you'd think that God didn't say in the beginning of the chapter that Job was his
"good and faithful servant".
The truth is that Job was a good and faithful servant. But in order to save Job from himself -- his self righteousness -- Job had to be afflicted.
Thank God for Elihu. Man of wisdom.

But, still today, God's people have to learn to be QUIET & be led, only!

That is, if they call themselves speaking for God. They must be found
administering grace, taking the backseat to the Lord, judging righteously and keenly -- in love, and helping the brethren refocus on the Lord and salvation.
Let us all take notes.

P.S. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. (James 3:17 KJV)
